Chiya's role as a priestess makes her an essential political figure, and she becomes involved in the larger conflicts between the Hyuman nations and the Demons. She forms a connection with Limia's hero, Hibiki, after being saved by her group from a Kobold attack. Chiya then joins her party even against the wishes of Lorel' people.
