"Deserted Plains" (絶 (ぜつ)野 (や), Zetsuya) is the last Hyuman settlement at the Wasteland, which acts as the base town for adventures and merchants who have business there. It also acts as the first line of defense against the dangers that lurk in the "End of the World".

Background

The town falls victim to a gang of bandits led by the strongest adventurer, Mils Ace, who is dedicated to robbing merchants and taking advantage of adventurers who fall into debt.

Chronology

Makoto heads to Zetsuya with Tomoe and Mio in search of a Hyuman village. After registering with the Adventurer's Guild, the three meet a girl named Rinon whose sister Toa, do to her failure to complete one of her quests, fell into large amounts of debt and was forced to subject herself to prostitution (manga)/human magic experimentation (anime) by the bandit gang.

After Tomoe and Mio rescue Toa and her party and defeat the adventurers, the two end up completely destroying Zetsuya in the middle of an argument, although the official story was that the village was destroyed by monsters which Mio and Tomoe later eliminated.
