Goddess (
Appearance[]
From what has been shown, the Goddess appears as an adult human woman with very long blonde hair (touching the floor) that is tied in a braid with bangs swept on either side, yellow eyes and a voluptuous figure. This seems to be her default form as she has later shown the ability to freely alter her appearance, as she appeared like like a teenage girl in front of Hibiki otonashi and a young girl in front of Tomoki Iwahashi.
Her normal attire as an Adult consists of a type of white Kimono that openly reveals her bust, with a red Obi with red strips around the waist, and the strips of the rest of her clothing extend in a hanging manner below her body exposing her legs, like a type of loincloth. On her head she wears a kind of platinum crown in a circular shape, and on both her arms and legs she wears beautiful bracelets with beautiful jewels and a pair of high heels.
In her Teenage Form, her clothing consists of an elegant and beautiful dress with ornaments and jewels and a long, wide skirt reaching to her feet, with an oriental appearance from the 18th century, as if she were a beautiful princess from the earth. Her clothing generally hiding his bust in a normal way with a kind of project/corset on her beautiful abdomen, it has semi-long and wide sleeves, and in her teenage mode the goddess has her golden hair completely loose without her crown.
In her child form (about 10 to 12), the goddess has a pretty white dress with a long sleeveless skirt on her arms, with a leaf-shaped ornament on her right shoulder, with ornaments on her body. She has loose hair that is too long, just like in her teenage form, and she has a crown of leaves on her head as if they were laurel leaves.
Personality[]
The Goddess is a vain egotistical and arrogant by dismissive way of proceeding others and specially the physical features.
Even though she had the power of creation, she seems to care about trivial things like beauty and dismissive of anything she sees as ugly.
She also holds little shame or regard for others - shown when she forcibly summoned Makoto to delay an invasion on a human territory by Sofia and a Greater Dragon. She did not tell Makoto about this beforehand, and simply flung him there without consideration.
She has a cunning and manipulative mind when it comes to painted herself as a respectful deity, but often throws off the facade whenever she gets irritated or finds something amusing. She installed an innate desire in "Hyumans" to feel the need to worship her even if she does not answer their prayers, or they have turned their back on her, going as far as trying to say if she loses her position as the world's creation goddess she would destroy it if she ever lost her power.
She can become obsessive at times like when she found one of the heroine's to have the perfect Japanese doll beauty. Above all else she has a cowardly streak and if someone of equal or greater power is near her she tends to cower in the corner and apologize for her nature.
Biography[]
She is a relatively new goddess according to the Light Novel, being in charge of her world for only 600-900 years. As the Goddess of Creation and Beauty, physical beauty is what is most valued in her world, developing society based on class and vanity, not caring about things like selfishness, racism or cruelty.
Overtime she comes to view her last creation, a race she copied from art from Earth, specifically Ancient Greek and Roman statues as aesthetically pleasing individuals she called "Hyumans" which in her mind where way better then the race she copied from. Most Demi-Humans where made when she was trying to experiment with making things she thought where cute as babies or animals and giving them humanoid characteristics that she usually found repulsive and shunned for being "ugly" as adults, and created a huge continent where she demands that the "unsightly need to live away from the beauty" and was called the Wasteland.
As per the contract made between her and Kanart Io & Cass Tort, after sending them to Earth, they would have to take the family-name of "Misumi", and when the time arrives they must give-up the most important thing to her. Because of this reason, Makoto Misumi is selected as the candidate to be sent to the world governed by the Goddess. But because of her personal preferences, the Goddess rejects Makoto and drops him to the Wasteland in her world after just giving him the ability to communicate with everything except with other Hyumans; and instead kidnaps two other Humans from Earth to represent as Heroes.
The motives were entirely superficial. She chose a handsome, easy-to-manipulate boy with a talent for generating fashion trends, for she was already thinking about the post-war period and not about the war itself. The girl she chose has the qualities of a hero as well as its flaws, and in her social position she had flaws in logic to understanding those struggling to survive in a harsh world. As these heroes proves to be unable to defend the world by themselves, the Goddess forces Makoto to fight Sofia Bulga and Lancer to delay the demon army, and later makes a pact with him to fight a second time.
Powers & Abilities[]
Creation/imitation: As a God, the Goddess of the otherworld possess the ability to create things from nothing at will. Having created the Hyumans and a majority of the Demi-Human Races who inhabit her world. The Goddess also assisted in molding and shaping her otherworld into its current shape, implying to her ability to create/manipulate matter. When creating the hyumans, the Goddess was also noted to have put the innate desire for them to worship her within their makeup. Despite her ability to create however, its been implied that even her power limits, as it was explicitly stated by the Greater Dragons that she didn’t create her world from nothing, this it already existed prior to her arrival, she simply manipulated and added into it when it came into her control. Furthermore, it was also noted that the Goddess also used humans and animals she thought were cute from Earth, as a reference when creating hyumans and demi-humans, implying to her power over creation having further limits, such as her own lack of imagination.
Immense Mana: As a deity, the goddess possesses a truly divine amount of mana and magical power. It was stated that a fight between the Goddess and Makoto Misumi would likely result in the destruction of the entire world at its roots. The goddess's immense mana also grants her resistance to magical attacks and curses to the point of being almost immune to them.
Shape Shifting: She has the ability to change her appearance at age level, which allows her to hide, present and show her identity to any human or creature that shows itself before her. The goddess has generally used this ability to hide or attempt to conceal her true intentions and suspicions from the humans she summons to her domains, such as with Makoto's parents, Hibiki Tomoki, among other humans. Only a few people, Misumi Makoto and Shiki, saw her general/normal appearance along with her true personality.
Summoning: The goddess has the power to summon humans from earth and bring them to her world. She can also interfere with the teleportation of others. Throughout the series she has interrupted Makoto's life multiple times by either intercepting him mid teleportation and changing his destination or outright summoning him directly to her with a beam of light from the sky that lifted him off the ground and transports him to her.
Power Bestowal: The goddess grants humans she summons from earth superhuman power. Often granting an enhanced physical body and an immense mana capacity along with a few unique skills. She granted Tomoki Iwahashi, Hibiki Otonashi, Makoto Misumi and other summoned heroes of the past several powers.
Blessed breeds and Species[]
Although the Hyumans are the favorite race, created and blessed by the Goddess, some races and species of Demi-Humans also managed to gain the favor, blessing and protection of the Goddess after their creation, since for her they were also beautiful by nature. Species such as Elves, Fairies and Nymphs obtained the favor. At the same time, the Spirits manage to gain the favor of the goddess to carry out certain tasks imposed by her.
Relationships[]
Heroes[]
- Tomoki Iwahashi: He is the only one to have casual and frequent conversations with her. It gets to the point where he's able to listen to even her complaints.
- Hibiki Otonashi: Hibiki sees the Goddess as an unfortunate but necessary existence. Upon learning about the Goddess' true nature becomes repulse and disgusted that the Goddess referred to her as the "perfect Japanese doll". The Goddess believed that she would die early in that world, probably because Hibiki was not strong in fighting. However, this did not happen due to the existence of Makoto.
Enemies[]
- Makoto Misumi: In their first meeting, she was a bit disappointed and displeased at his facial appearance due to his resemblance to her other creations living in wasteland. So she decided to drop him out from her field of vision and let him live in the wasteland just like her failed and unpleasant face creatures. But after the day when Makoto is reaching his own records of having the possibilities of becoming one like her, she became obsessed to stop him and trying to figure out where is he or where he could be hiding. All she knew, he would be the main reason of losing her pride and dignity as the Goddess of her own world.
Gods and Goddesses []
The Goddess often behaves in an indirectly disrespectful, rude and indifferent manner towards the other deities, apparently without caring about the divine hierarchy, which caused the other gods to become enemies with her or not tolerate her behavior.
- Tsukuyomi: Is her polar opposite in every way.
- Daikokuten: When she summoned two other heroes without any consent from Japan, for only their beauty and installing them as heroes without a contract, she has earned the fiery rage and temper of Daikokuten, When Daikokuten learned of Makoto's Blessing from Tsukuyomi, he blessed him to be shrouded from the Goddess' vision, causing him to place his trust in the discarded original hero to return the two "illegal immigrants" to their rightful world.
- Athena: Was absolutely furious with the Goddess for using her own visage and form without any consent from her and finding out about the world's affairs was utterly horrified at the mistreatment of its denizens.
- Susanoo: When Susanoo found out through Tsukuyomi's dream visits about the fate and blunder of the goddess summoning the wrong sibling and discarding the middle son as soon as he was summoned, he called for a council and throughout the course of the series tries through political means to unseat the goddess from power, because he was the one who took in Makoto's parents and found out about the reason they tried to escape to their world. Holds utter contempt towards her.
Greater Dragons[]
- Root: Becomes absolutely terrified of them, to go as far as to have a delusional denial of their existence.
- Futsu:
Demihumans[]

- Nymphs:
Disfavored and Enemys[]
Trivia[]
- She didn't know Makoto had an older sister, who had been prepared her whole life; showing she didn't pay attention to the parents she sent over. Just randomly yanking at whatever came from their bloodline.
- She is often viewed by the other gods and goddesses as "the most ungodly god" because of her narcissism and selfishness, to the point of losing most and by late in the series, all godly allies.
- It is unknown whether the goddess is aware of the consequences of her behavior and other intolerant and disrespectful actions towards the other deities of the Earth.
- The creator of the series stated that they modeled the Goddess to be the exact opposite of the Japanese God Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, who is known for their kindness and understanding.
- As stated as above, because of Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto's Kai Blessing Makoto, the main character is hinted to have been brought to the new world as a replacement for the goddess because of her continued selfishness and acts of disrespect.
- While in the manga the face of the goddess in her different forms was visible to Tomoki and Hibiki, in the anime, she always keeps her face hidden with her luminous power.
