Origins[]

Originally there were only 2 dragons that had reached a very high level in both magical power and abilities thousands of years ago, before the arrival and government of the Goddess to the world where they lived, these dragons were previously known as "Banshoku and Jihahataru Ginryū".

Some time later, on a whim of Root, he created 6 more Greater Dragons, each initially with a fraction of Root's power, causing the number of Greater Dragons to total 8, unbeknownst to the races and species until much later. At some time after the creation of the other Greater Dragons, Root intended to become a kind of god, which would give rise to a project of his called "Project Tiamat", which would allow him to rule and understand the world around him, sharing his domain with the Goddess.[1]

But soon Root realized that the Goddess had already gained enough devotion and faith from the Hyumans, which did not suit her the dispute, and after meeting her Husband, Root abandoned the project allowing the created dragons to disperse throughout the world,[1] each gaining their various known abilities, but without Root losing her strength as such.

Trivia[]

  • The official Manga randomly refers to them as "Top-Tier"/"Top-Level"/"Top-Grade" Dragon.
  • While in the fan-translated anime, Root is said to have created only one dragon,[2] in the novel series it is said that Root created the other superior dragons except for Futsu[1], which indicates an error in the anime translation.
