Rotsgard is a prominent city known for being a hub of education and commerce, particularly famous for its academy that attracts students from various races and regions in the Goddess' World. It is located between Aion Kingdom and Gritonia Empire, so it adopts a politically neutral stance.
Chronology[]
Makoto Misumi comes to Rotsgard seeking to learn more about magic, becoming a partial teacher at the academy.
The city falls under the machinations of the Demon General Rona, who transforms many residents into mutated monsters or "Variants" that cause havoc during the academy tournament in order to use it as a distraction to attack Limia and Gritonia while their leaders were in Rotsgard. The situation is mainly contained by Makoto and his followers, who use the opportunity to curry favor with prominent figures.
Educational facilities[]
There are many academies in the surrounding towns, but the city is best known for Rotsgard Academy, a prestigious institution where students from different races and backgrounds come to study various subjects, including magic, combat, and general knowledge. The policy of the central academy is demanding a minimum level of skill in set areas from all the students, failure to comply with them leads to being demoted to the "branch schools". Study groups are are focused on one talent while having difficulty to satisfy the requirements of the other fields that are being requested in Rotsgard.
Despite the great reputation, the level of teaching is quite poor especially in the magic field, mainly because students being noble and rich prefer to pay or make deals with teachers to pass classes, especially with part-time teachers who are paid according to the number of students they have. This is in addition to the city's neutrality which does not allow anyone there to gain real battle experience.
This is seen when Makoto, after a few months of exhaustive training, was able to strengthen a group of students to the point that they easily surpassed the rest of the school.
Other locations[]
Due to its strategic location and the presence of the academy, Rotsgard is also a center of commerce. Various merchants and traders operate in the city, making it a bustling marketplace where goods from all over the world are exchanged. The Kuzunoha Company also owned a shop in the city.
The city's influence extends beyond education and commerce. It is also a significant political center, where different factions and powers interact, often leading to complex political dynamics.

- The Variant that turned into a giant tree by Mondo became the center of a public park that represents the town. This is the biggest and newest park in this town, with two big trees as its symbol. In order to not forget about the Variant incident, an inscripted stone monument has been made and has become the grave-marker for the many lives that were lost, and it is also a place that’s treated as a location to comfort the spirits of the dead. It is a location that doesn’t lack in people.
