Tomoki Iwahashi ( (いわ) (はし)智樹 (ともき), Iwahashi Tomoki) is a recurring character in this series. He is one of the Heroes that was summoned by the Goddess to her World.

Appearance[]

Tomoki Iwahashi Profile

Tomoki's appearance when he comes to the goddess world and asks to be exchanged for the goddess.

Before coming to the world of the goddess, Tomoki had black hair with brown eyes, and a beautiful face, with a normal body, of weak constitution type, which allowed him to stand out and do his modeling work for magazines, and what made him popular with the girls of his school and at the same time the envy and hatred of men. He used to wear his normal blue-black school uniform, with long black pants, keeping a normal hairstyle.

By coming to the Goddess's World and asking her to change his appearance, Tomoki acquires a silver hair, heterochromia eyes (his right eye being light pink and his left being a sapphire blue) and a good-looking face where the girls will fall in love at first sight or jealous of the attention he receives because of it, (which made him even more attractive than he already was in the world of earth). Some time after coming to the other world and training physically, Tomoki gained a strong physical constitution, and as a hero he usually wears in combat, a very beautiful and detailed armor, of a well-covered platinum and bluish color that covers his entire body, with a helmet with 2 small wings of anorno.

Personality[]

Tomoki is a very naive young man with a significant inferiority complex. Through the manipulations of Princess Lily Front Gritonia, he becomes little more than an arrogant tyrant, believing he can do as he pleases and take what he wants from anyone just because he is the Goddess's hero, which has caused him to become dismissive and arrogant toward others, even acting superior to others that he perceives to be weak.

Because of his inferiority complex, in combination with his newfound Charm power granted to him by the Goddess, Tomoki believes that everything can be made his, by force if necessary. Most disturbingly are his views on women, extensive use of his charm power has him now regard any woman that tickles his fancy as his property and sex slave.

Biography[]

Tomoki was originally a middle school student who had difficulty with people, He was a hardcore otaku and was often bullied because of his attractive features and couldn't handle the presence of women.

He is summoned directly to the powerful Gritonia Empire, where he is hailed as a hero. Tomoki is granted strong abilities, particularly those related to charm and mind control, which allow him to manipulate others for his benefit. Upon arriving, Tomoki receives special treatment and powerful equipment. He quickly rises to a prominent position, largely because of his charm ability, which makes him highly influential and admired by those around him. His ability allows him to manipulate people's minds, bending them to his will, which he uses to further his power and control.

Tomoki becomes a key figure in Gritonia’s military campaigns against the Demon forces. However, during the raid to Fort Stella along Limia's army, he quickly leaves the battle when the Goddess' blessing is nullified.

Sometime after, Tomoki encountered Tomoe in the forest near the lake Misumi had created after fighting Sofia Bulga and Lancer. Tomoki attempts to recruit Tomoe through various coercive means, but Tomoe ultimately sees through all of them. In the end, Tomoe rejects Tomoki and issues a fatal warning, leaving Tomoki and his companions in a daze.

By the time the Demons executed their attack strategy, involving blockade, distraction, and chaos against the Rotsgard Academy; Sofia attack Tomoki's group. At first, Sofia allowed herself to be immobilized and let Tomoki and his girls attack her with their most powerful attacks and magical spells, but none of them affected Sofia. Shortly after, Sofia began to fight back against Tomoki's group, eventually defeating them and then torturing Tomoki in a bloodthirsty manner. Tomoki then launched his strongest magical attack, called "Nuke," causing a huge explosion. However, Sofia emerged unharmed but decides to let Tomoki live.

Later on, when he meets Makoto Misumi, Tomoki assumes that his fellow countryman was nothing more than a weak willed monster tamer, which would explain how Makoto had "enslaved" Tomoe, demanding Misumi hand over Tomoe in exchange for any of the women in Tomoki's party as a fair trade. Makoto, disgusted by the talk of Tomoe as property, proceeded to decimate the team of women that Tomoki had brought with him with little effort. Tomoki was enraged at the loss, but was unable to retaliate and was ultimately beaten with just as little effort.

When Tomoki reawakened, he was greeted by the sight of Lily.

Relationships[]

Companions[]

Currently, these three are Tomoki’s companions. Since the princess doesn’t participate in battle, she has the role of support in the rear. All three are under the effects Tomoki's Charm Power and obey all his commands.

  • Lily Furont Gritonia: Second princess who manipulated Tomoki into becoming a tyrant. She will use anything to make that happen, a power anything he desires and to increase his strength. Lily also secretly puts an poisonous elixir in Tomoki's food, knowing it would shorten his lifespan, as well as the party members who she thinks of as nothing more than tools. She does not care if he does whatever he wants to them, as she sees herself as a supporter but in the end, she just wants to destroy everything that has anything to do with the goddess. She took measures against his eyes.
  • Ginebia: Considered the strongest knight in the empire that protects the nobles, Ginebia is one of the royal guards who was originally a soldier under Lily and also a close friend, but she is now limited to guarding both Tomoki and princess alike.
  • Mora: She is a young girl only twelve years old. Despite her age, Mora is called the dragon spiritualist and is able to use a special summoning technique, a dragon summoner.
  • Yukinatsu: Originally from the Lorel Confederation, Yukinatsu desired a place where she could do her research more freely, thus leading her to end up working under Lily. Hearing the numerous unique ideas of the hero, Yukinatsu decided to accompany them on their journey.

Others[]

  • Goddess: Tomoki met the Goddess shortly before he arrived in the new world, she is responsible for all of his unique powers such as night immortality and his charm eye. As he has progressed as a tyrant and lost touch with reality he most likely desires to make the Goddess his property.
  • Tomoe: Upon resisting his charm and part of her strength, Tomoki became obsessed with her.
  • Hibiki Otonashi: Tomoki doesn't think of her as someone superior to him. He doesn't show much respect towards her as someone older than him, unlike the custom of Japanese people.
  • Mio: Similar to Tomoe, Tomoki grew obsessed with Mio, believing their efforts to rebuff his advances meant they actually loved him.
  • Shiki: TBD
  • Makoto Misumi: Initially, Tomoki thought that Makoto simply had a tamer ability, which is what allowed him to enslave the high-ranked dragon, Tomoe. Hence, he proposed/threaten Makoto to exchange Tomoe with any number of the females by his side. To Makoto, this is not a fair trade, nor should such conversation occur, as Tomoe is not a "commodity". Thinking that Tomoki was insulting Tomoe, Makoto retaliated with violence. Due to the sheer difference in ability, Tomoki was beaten to a pulp. In the midst of his violent act, Makoto claims that Tomoki was acting like as if he were being bullied. This revelation severely traumatized Tomoki.
    • For the next couple of days after the beat-up, Tomoki remained holed up in his room due to the recollection of his life as the victim of bullying in the previous world and the growing fear towards the stronger being, Makoto. This fear was quickly converted into hatred and motivation (to be the one that robs) when coaxed by Lily, pushing him to undergo a human-experiment that will enhance his ability and demonize eye but also dramatically shorten his lifespan.
    • This hatred seems to be spread among the charmed girls, who will attempt to murder Makoto on sight.

Women's response to him[]

Tomoki's eyes cause him to have many women do whatever he wants, he is pretty much made the empire his personal harem and has many offspring. The stronger the effects of his eyes causes women to willing to even die for him almost like a cult no matter the position or profession or even age.

  • Female assassins
  • Noblewomen
  • Married and Engaged women
  • Female soldiers
  • Servants Woman
  • Street women
    • Control them with charm, finish their training and use them for battle. Root mentioned the Valkyries
      • Everyone in Tomoki’s harem are referred to as Valkyries?

Abilities and Physicals[]

Thanks to the Goddess, Tomoki obtained a body that can fight against beasts and magic power that outdoes that of the Demon race.

Physical Abilities[]

  • Skilled in long-range combat
  • Some skill in magic seals.
  • He can create a very powerful attack with his levitated weapons using telekinesis, which are dagger, fine sword, spear, pistol, and divine spear. In the novel, he hurts Sofia herself even though Sofia only says that she was using half of her power. Of course with the help of Mora.

Partially immortal[]

It can regenerate during the night when the moon rises. It will be inactive when there is no moon. This gives Tomoki's body strong and seemingly inexhaustible regeneration, but it has its drawbacks;

  • The fatal flaw of this ability is that it only works at night. If a battle were to be drawn out until dawn and if he were to receive damage that could be fatal, his only chance for survival would be the healing abilities of his companions.
  • The Goddess warned Tomoki that immortality as such could represent a burden on Tomoki's body, so although he can regenerate, the capacity granted in itself will not partially replace the lost energies, and can cause discomfort in Tomoki's body, (apparently it makes the body numb).

Charm Power[]

Tsuki ga michibiku season 2- Iwatashi tomoki - Eye of Charm

Tomoki using his "charm" on a chivalrous girl.[4]

One of several magical abilities granted by the Goddess, which was given to Tomoki upon coming to the other world. The ability allows Tomoki to charm, seduce and bend the consciousness of people who look directly into her magical eye, causing them to essentially become slaves to Tomoki's will, affecting both their cognitions and their thoughts themselves. His magic eye ability works both passively and actively for Tomoki;

  • Passively, even if Tomoki does not want to exercise it, anyone who stares at him, whether at short or medium distance, the individual begins to fall under the effects of the magic eye, causing the person's behavior to begin to change lightly and slowly, even those thoughts that the person has about Tomoki.
  • Actively, Tomoki can exert magical pressure on his eye, so that people who look at him fall faster and stronger at his will. By doing this, it can cause certain slight damage to the individual's conscience, if for some reason the individual resists Tomoki's eye.

Side Effects, Evolution and Requirements

After a while, the ability of Tomoki's magic eye was shown to have good effects as with exposed beings, along with its consequences for said people, as well as evolve or expand, and their requirements, these are manifested as:

  1. Months of exposure may take exactly the same amount of time, but it leaves serious damage to the mind of the affected person, who begins to lose his individuality and become submissive.
  2. Years of exposure may be impossible to remove
    1. For example, the assassins girls. They have been away from him for a long period of time, yet they still felt exactly the same drive as if he were right next to them.
  3. Trying to remove the charm by force, if successful, if not careful, would cause the person to feel a strong aberration towards themselves and great pain, to the point of wanting to remove it against their own will, (as explained by Rona).
  4. His charm is not just effective on women, but on anyone, regardless of race or gender.
  5. It is not known how they are doing it, but Princess Lily ordered to create a substance similar to the Magic Mist of Tomoe, like a persume that contains the power of the Tomoki Eye of Charm, to influence large and small groups of people out of his reach, (it is unknown if he is aware of this fact).

Possible theories, Solution and Protections:

As time went by, several normal methods of being able to free oneself or undo the effects of Magic Eye of Tomoki were demonstrated, as well as the ability to create magical tools to protect oneself from the ability. The known means were demonstrated as:

  1. Short-term exposure may wear off within a few days, without leaving any damage, except in part a comforting feeling of what Tomoki is like, at an ideal level.
  2. Apparently, being under a certain distance or being out of Tomoki's sight, can evade the ability of his magic eye.
  3. Extremely powerful entities and beings have shown the ability to resist, be immune or free themselves from the power of the Charm, as well as create tools to protect themselves from them, which are classified as follows:

Those protected by magical tools.

  1. Lily Furont Gritonia:
  2. Gritonia royal family:

People who can strongly resist the power of their charm.

  1. Sofia bulga:
  2. Chiya Hazaki:
  3. Osakabe Haruka: Wings of Saint healing abilities

Powerful people who are not affected at all, or that they are under divine protection.

  1. Tomoe:
  2. Otonashi Hibiki:
  3. Root:
  4. Makoto:
  5. Mio:
  6. Shiki:

Nuke[]

Tsuki ga michibiku season 2 - Iwatashi Tomoki - Nuke-1

Tomoki launching the magical attack against Sofia Bulga.[5]

A magical ability granted to Tomoki by an unknown god, which allowed Tomoki to choose a great offensive magical power in exchange for paying a high price for exercising the ability as such. This ability allows Tomoki to create a nuclear explosion centered around Tomoki, consuming a large amount of magic power. The explosion destroys almost everything in a wide radius, creating radiation that causes "poison" effects and slowly devours anyone outside the effective blast radius but within a larger radius, similar to a traditional nuclear bomb.

Side Effects and Requirements

  • When exercising the magical attack, Tomoki is left fainted and exhausted, due to the tremendous load exerted by the attack, plus the price to be collected from the magic and life in it.
  • Although the explosion generated does not affect Tomoki himself, it destroys most of his clothing and magical armor in the process, leaving him vulnerable.
  • It can only be effectively be used by Tomoki at night when the moon is out.
    • This ability as such, has a very expensive price to pay, and that is that in exchange for launching an attack that replicates the effects of a nuclear bomb, it greatly shortens Tomoki's life time, and leaves him completely exhausted, due to the magic exerted. To do this, Tomoki tries not to use said final attack unless it is strongly necessary.
  • This was a power given to him as an additional offering, similar to Hibiki Otonashi's ability that allowed her to escape from Shiki's barrier.
  • The only time documented that he used it was against Dragon Slayer Sofia. Sofia was able to survive using the shielding and healing of a number of the dragons she had consumed.

Quotes[]

Etymology[]

  • The name Tomoki means "wisdom, intellect" (智) (tomo) and "tree" (樹) (ki).
  • Tomoki's surname Iwahashi means "rock" (岩) (iwa) and "bridge" (橋) (hashi).

Trivia[]

  • He has many Children, through seduction, mind-control, and those of stronger mental fortitude, through rape and even views any female as a mere tool to vent his sexual frustration.
  • Tomoki was chosen by the Goddess because he lacked confidence and could be molded to serve as an unknowing puppet for the Hyuman race.
  • Tomoki has many dark triad personality traits, but specifically Machiavellianism.
  • It's shown numerous times that Tomoki has a disturbing obsession with making Tomoe, and later Mio, his sexual slaves, regardless of his lack of strength and becoming deluded in thinking they are secretly already in love with him.
  • The creator of Tsukimichi revealed Tomoki's purpose was to show what a "harem king" type character would look like in reality, since most harem kings-types are teenager or young adults, thus conveying that Tomoki's actions are more in in line with what a man in real life would do in this situation.
  • Tomoki becomes so twisted that by the end of the series, he wishes to take The Goddess as his next and perhaps final sex slave.
  • Tomoki shares many traits and similarities to the Spear (Motoyasu), Sword (Ren), and Bow (Itsuki) heroes from the The Rising of The Shield Hero.
    • Like Motoyasu (The Spear Hero), Tomoki is a womanizer and blindly believes those around him. He even is acquainted with a princess who is manipulating him, like with Motoyasu.
    • Like Ren (The Sword Hero), Tomoki is delusional and doesn’t care much for those around him except himself.
    • Like Itsuki (The Bow Hero), Tomoki is extremely prideful and believes in his own brand of justice, and even tried to brainwash those around him to force them to listen to him. Like Itsuki, Tomoki was also bullied and ended up turning to video games to cope.
    • Finally like all three of the heroes, Tomoki believes the world he was summoned to, is like a game and believes that having a high level is enough to win battles. He also believes that the Goddess is “buffing” him and “debuffing” his enemies and believes himself to be invincible.
